About Me

I was born and raised in Centerville, Ohio, graduating with honors from Centerville High School in May 2017. I will graduate from Purdue University with my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in December 2021, after which I will begin work as an Aerospace Engineer in the Propulsion Directorate of the U.S. Air Force.

Outside of my classes, I enjoy playing music as a Percussionist and a Pianist. I have served as Principle Percussionist for the Purdue Wind Ensemble for 4 semesters (Fall ’21, Spring ’21, Fall ’20, Fall ’19), and I have also performed with the Commencement Band, the Philharmonic Orchestra, and other Purdue ensembles. In Fall 2020, I was named the Outstanding Member of the Wind Ensemble, and in Spring 2021, I was awarded the Lillian & R.B. Stewart Award for Musical Excellence out of the entire Purdue Bands and Orchestras program.

I have previously been the Principle Percussionist for the Centerville High School Wind Symphony, appearing in the 2017 MFA National Concert Band Festival, the 2017 MFA National Honor Band of America, and the 2017 OMEA All-State Band. I have also had the honor of teaching nearly two dozen students through private lessons, ensemble instruction, and the United Sound program, which brings musical experiences to special-needs students.

While my studies center on engineering, my musical experiences have been foundational to both my personality and my character. I am continually grateful for the multitude of musical opportunities I have been blessed with during my time at Centerville and Purdue.
